Meaning "petite things" in French

La chosette is inspired by my love of France.

Time old pieces I've brought from French brocantes filter through the shop. It's dark grey walls and my old French furniture are the backdrop for my hand selected pieces from around the world .... Magnolia Pearl from Texas, Charlie joe from marseille and mes demoiselles from Paris, lace and widdess from new zealand.

Unique New Zealand made clothing label "lace" by donelle Scott ... Is an artist who has been creating clothes for the past 35 years......we are looking at making some unique pieces especially for chosette with lace and fabric I've sourced from the brocantes. I love any project that keeps me returning to France for the brocantes !

My store is a petite haven....of nooks and crannies...for those who love the experience of buying from somewhere that you can fill your senses up everywhere your gaze takes you.

Every piece has a designers creativity behind it.

All my "loves" in my home have a story behind them that give them meaning to me....where I brought it, who I brought it from, who I was with, .....precious memories. I am particular about what I buy for my home and equally for my store. I  buy from like minded people who are passionate about what they sell and create. I love the thought of creating beautiful memories... and beautiful spaces . I am a trader of the treasures I love to gaze at , surround myself with and wear.

I love fairytales, whimsy and history.

I feel like I have waited all my life for someone to create clothes like robin from magnolia pearl does... that feel so timeless and special to wear... Its a blessing to have them in my store.... and to have them in my wardrobe!

Ay illuminate light shades are floaty and atmospheric... and I just want to fill every room in my home with them..... we are very excited to stock this exquisite range of handmade shades.

Chosette packaging is one of my favourite artistic outlets.... after setting up a new shop!... I love sourcing old images from France that I turn into bags, tissue, cards and tags.... or wallpaper.
